This is an exciting time to be in bear country. This is the tail end of bear mating season, and the height of the patterned walking that creates the rare and remarkable "ritual trails." We will see ritual trails that have been created by several generations of bears, as well as plenty of other sign, which could include tracks, trails, scat, bear nests, digs, claw and bite marks on trees, whammy trees, wallows, and more. We will share with you an area that we have been visiting for over twenty-five years. Come learn about these highly intelligent animals in the scenic North Quabbin hills.
