Reading the Fall Landscape

Sunday, October 27,2024, 10am to 4pm
Each season of the year has its own unique characteristics, yet no season exists independently of the others the four seasons are interconnected pieces of the fabric of the year, just as each year is connected to those that came before and those that are yet to come. Fall is a time of transition, between the lush abundance of summer and the apparent scarcity of winter. Using our powers of observation we will learn to more fully appreciate this season of change as we learn the language of Nature s book and unravel the secrets of the ancient forested hills.
Location: The program will take place in the north Quabbin region.
Activity Level: Moderate, off-trail with bush-whacking required. This is a long day in the forest, so dress in layers, wear good hiking shoes, bring water and a lunch.
Fee: $65 per person
