Understanding the physical features of animal feet will help you better decipher tracks in the field. This on-line class will be a study of the feet of mammals found in New England. Over the past twenty years we have amassed an extensive collection of animal feet(primarily road-killed specimens acquired with our salvage permit). Utilizing these specimens, we will inspect salient features and come to understand subtleties that distinguish similar-looking species.
