Tracking Basics via Zoom

Tuesday, November 10, 2020, 6:00pm to 7:30pm
This on-line program will provide an introduction to the fascinating world of animal tracking. We'll cover the basics of tracks, trail patterns, scats, and the correct ways to measure these. We'll introduce our unique method of comparing/contrasting/eliminating to identify the animal that created the tracks and sign. We'll share the best tracking resources - which books and websites are the best - and show what tools you'll want to include in your own tracking pack to take with you in the field. We will also suggest some sources of nature-based philosophy for folks who wish to explore the deeper meanings of tracking. For folks who have already tracked, this is a good refresher class.
Fee: $20 per session - more than one person can be at your location. Participants must register no later than 24 hours before the session so that we can get the login information to you.
This program will utilize the on-line platform, Zoom. We will provide all the information you will need to join the Zoom session. A Computer with internet access will be required, but a computer camera is not necessary. For those who have not used Zoom, rest assured, it is free and simple to use.
