Tracking The Eastern Coy-Wolf

Saturday, February 18, 2017, 10 am to 4 pm

This workshop will focus on following the trail of an Eastern Coy-Wolf for the day, delving into the behavior of the animal as evidenced through its tracks and sign. This is mating season, making especially interesting interactions among coyotes. Recent scientific studies utilizing DNA analysis have provided fascinating insight on the origins of this remarkable animal. Its adaptability and resilience are legendary, and its life has the potential to teach us great lessons about ourselves and the world we are part of.

Activity Level: Moderately strenuous, mostly off-trail
